A very violent movie without much content. The cast is very good--great acting all around. But this movie was just gratuitus violence (People executed at close range, stabbed, set on fire)without much of a plot: Corrucpt DEA officers attempting to take down a drug kingpin. Why didn't they sent the message and just wait? Why didn't the DEA just stormed the building? OR While the DEA was attacking the precinct, where were the kingpin gang? How come they didn't show up? Were we supposed to cheer for the kingpin and the others killing corrupt cops?
Close to the end, What was the point of killing the retired cop? Oh! he turned onto the others, became an outsider, and helped the DEA. Why did he fall for the teasing by the kingpin? Why didn't he leave when he had the chance. And where did the flashbang came from to take out the retired cop?
