This is what my mother calls a boom boom movie with lots of guns and things going boom! But what a great cast though. It's as if the production company got lucky and all these actors were available and said sure hey why not let's do this film! Ever since I saw Laurence Fishburn as Morpheus in The Matrix he seems to embody the epitome of Cool, and ever since seeing Ethan Hawke in Training Day, he is easily accepted as the best cop ever. The pre-History of Violence Maria Bello as the psychiatrist is a joy to watch, as is Gabriel Byrne who is as enigmatic an actor as you will find and Brian Dennehy, who is like Sara Lee in that nobody doesn't like him - is fun to watch throughout the film even though he plays the role of a two-faced cop. If you are in the mood for a boom boom movie with action set in moonlit snow - this is your A-list actor ticket to a B-script movie!
