'Assault on Precinct 13' has moments of true suspense but has nothing on the paranoia that kept the original flowing. Jake Roenick is a police officer taking a slow job after a drug bust gone horribly wrong. However, when he is in charge of …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

I rented this movie with low expectations, and got a great action flick, with a lot of drama, bullets and blood. and with good acting, something that is always missing in this kind of films. fishburne and hawke made both great jobs, and the supporting …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

Not the best, not the worst remake out there, I think it's a good take on the original. Not so bright somtimes but still entertaining and with great moments. Rent it or look for it on your favorite cable TV channel.more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

John Leguizamo, as always, the best actor …more»1 of 2 people found this review helpful-

Another remake from a 70's movie(Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Amityville Horror, etc.) This one follows the premise of the 70's cult film but brings it up to date with better acting and suspense. Lacking in this version is the gritty look the original …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

This flick was pure cheese. I can't believe Ebert gave it a B. How in the heck did they get Fish to do this?
My favorite part has to be the final chase scene where they wreck the vehicle and then all of a sudden they are in this large forest. …more»10 of 10 people found this review helpful-

Assault on Precinct 13 isn't a great action movie. It is almost watchable at times. But I have a few questions: Does anybody believe that scrawny Ethan Hawke can kick anyone's ass? Also, did one of the best villian actors ( Gabriel Byrne) get …more»5 of 5 people found this review helpful
