this director is known for quirky films considering he's last two were ghost world and the truely brilliant bad santa.
the film sets up the story with the central character heading off to art school basically to meet the girl of he's dreams which is one of the naked models. the problem he encounters is rivalry from a fellow class mate and the lack of recognition he recieves for the art work he produces. soon things get out of hand when it becomes apparent that a serial killer is killing people around the campus.
the unknown cast except john malkovich add a quality that you never usually see from these types of films. no doubt this film will not garner the cult following of the first two mentioned films but honestly this film has grown on me. the real problem with the film is that it is a required taste, its not a simple story and i think that is why many people meet it with negativity. honestly i enjoyed the film and i think that you should see the film and make up your own decision
