I was in Iran during the revolution, on the 2nd to last American evacuation plane shortly before the hostages were taken. This shows the way it really was..I held my breath throughout...still remember the tension of finally leaving Iranian air space. Hats off to the film makers and actors! I had chills as I watched the crowds chanting "bad, bad, Amrica". This was happening in all the major cities in Iran. I still don't believe however that this revolution was of the general populace....it was politically motivated by the muslim extremists. Most of the Iranian people I met during a 3 year period enjoyed the American presence and were not the radical types. Having lived through this period in Esfahan Iran I just cannot give this movie enough credit, it is fantastic. Very emotional for me! I am not sure I could even watch it again-not because of anything about it, but because it truly portrays my personal experiences.
