I think he did not make a very good film but he used the emotions of audiences in a good way... Some part of story is true about hostage but the picture from the event and those days of Iran was not completely true... For example, those who attacked the embassy were a group of 12-15 university students (Master students I think) that later blamed for what they did, or the women's cloths in the film are very strange that are completely untrue, or the last part in the airport... or it showed the people wanted the Shah be returned that already that time was dead , or even what happened in the market can not be very true ... it was not enough attention to historical and also cultural aspect of Iran ... or even the Persian words were not translated correctly ... I think he still could make a better film from a historical event...
