Good Movie, Yes. Oscar-Worthy, No.By Yahoo! Movie User on Fri, Mar 8, 2013 2:46 PM EST
This was a really good movie. And as someone old enough to remember well the Iran hostage crisis, I appreciate this story being brought to the screen. But I believe Zero Dark Thirty should have taken home Best Picture. Alas, in Hollywood, aka Liberal Land, no film depicting waterboarding and extolling its virtues, is going to win any accolades from the Hollywood crowd. As a side note, how ironic that the First Lady, the wife of the President who failed to rescue embassy personnel, leaving them to die, handed out the Oscar statue to a movie depicting the succesful rescue of embassy personnel, people we refused to leave behind to die.
