I lived through this debacle. The movie was not only realistic, it was not overacted. Kudos to the director & lead actor, ben affleck. It gave great insight into the horror & shameful response of our inept president, jimmy carter as well as the often overlooked heroism of our cia agents. This movie is certain to get oscar nominations. The people playing the six hostages, mostly unknowns, were very believable.
