Although there were a few suspenseful scenes, I thought the movie plot was light considering how heavy the subject being treated was. The movie concentrated ONLY on the "transfer" of the 6 hidden employees from the Canadian embassy to the airport. …more»0 of 2 people found this review helpful-

I don't like spoilers myself so I will just say that the movie is all about getting 6 Americans out of Iran after the siege of the Embassy in Tehran. I compare it to Apollo 13. You get the feeling it is an accurate account of story many of us heard …more»2 of 2 people found this review helpful-

After viewing the movie, Argo, I compared it to "The True Spy Story Behind Argo". It was most interesting to revisit the 1979 hostage crisis of how the CIA whisked six U.S. Embassy staffers out of Tehran, Iran.

Saw Argo and Skyfall this weekend, and Argo was fantastic. Skyfall, suck.
I don't like Ben Affleck movies...usually. I didn't even realize he was in it at first. He was great. Walter White (Cranston) was even better. Love him.

I was in Iran during the revolution, on the 2nd to last American evacuation plane shortly before the hostages were taken. This shows the way it really was..I held my breath throughout...still remember the tension of finally leaving Iranian air space. …more»17 of 17 people found this review helpful
