I don’t like football, so I’d take a superior football movie to enthrall me. Any Given Sunday is a stellar ensemble cast, and a through line that pulses through the movie. From start to finish it was worth every minute. Al Pachino gives a stunning commingod age ,if you will, performance full of mirth, Dennis Quaid plays the fallen captain protagonist to the hilt, Jamie Foxx, the relative new kid antagonist, with some Camron Diaz thrown in for good measure. The entire cast brings something to the table and it’s more than about football. Oliver Stone delivers at every turn. I have no idea how the world could have missed this one.
