Although it's not Oliver Stone's best movie, it's still good and is worth watching some time. It's an entertaining and interesting look at professional football and what's going on behind the scenes. Similar to the ESPN series "Playmakers". It was a very wise decision for Jamie Foxx to take a role in this movie, it lead him to getting bigger parts including his 2004 oscar winning portrayal of Ray Charles in Ray and his 2004 oscar nominated perfomance in Collateral. Jamie Foxx is the next Denzel Washington, y'all and this is the movie that started him down that path. We found out with this movie that Jamie Foxx is a good actor and not some ghetto gangsta thug star like Ice Cube. Foxx set himself apart from that despised category of actors with this film.
