Any Given Sunday is another attempt by Oliver Stone, whose movies either turn out to be stupendous, or stupid, nothing in between. This one is one of his good ones. Partly because of Al Pacino and Cameron Diaz's good performances, and partly for some smart quotes about American football. Directed towards American as well as a Non-American viewer, I am sure everyone would enjoy this. A few particularly interesting remarks in the movie... After Jamie Foxx's character becomes famous overnight, a reporter asks, "How does it feel to be nobody one day, and be known to the world the next day?", to which the answer is, "There are 2 million people in China, and no one knows about this game". Make it 5 billion all over the world, I would say.
