It was a good movie. The acting wasnt,over the top. The boy did a good job. He probably overcame many difficulties. It really didnt have a 70's feel. My only criticism. I felt like it wasnt true to the era. I did live in that time. The gay lifesyle was a lot wilder. It must have been hard then. We werent considered normal. Like now.
The guy from Raising Hope played against type. He was very quiet, and conservative. He did come to love his partner at the end. Alan Cumming showed a lot of emotion. He had the NY accent perfectly.
