Anna Karenina(2012)- User Reviews

I never read Anna Karenina and went to the theatre excited to learn the classic story. However, the movie is void of any character development or coherent plot. The film fails to capture the conflict or tension that must have existed in the original story. The characters seem superficial and the over the top visual effects are distracting. The movie is extremely long and causes an audience to feel impatient for the film to finally end. This movie is void of any of the complicated and thought provoking themes that one would expect from a Leo Tolstoy story. I was extremely disappointed and hope you save yourself the horrible experience of sitting through this bad movie.
