But if you are looking for inner depth of the theme, the development of characters, and transition of the emotion or the acting, there is none. It is impossible to bring this master piece of writing onto the screen in two hours with satisfaction unless you do it in 8 episodes! I feel the director extracts the highlight from each part of the book, chain them together and give them motion with some good music and costumes and that's it. It seems even acting is not so significantly important! I don't know what the director is trying to achieve.
