Anna Karenina(2012)- User Reviews

I was so looking forward to seeing this movie. I have read the book and saw an old Russian version of the movie. I was expecting to see the beautiful scenery, Russian winter scenes, imperial splendor and architecture. Instead everything was shot in one theater setting with changing backgrounds. The ball scene was choreographed terribly. The acting was good, I thought. I understand the director's idea, but just did not like it. Not what I expected.
