This great performance by Christian Bale perhaps caught Christopher Nolans eye ready to cast him as the new Batman. Bale portrays Patrick Bateman a very successful Business man who is also a psychopath into kinky sex and brutal killings. The book on this film was extremely detailed with the violence and sex depicted and while this film has its moments of violence it is directed with more style and class rather than it being a bloodthirsty film.
