Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel(2009)- User Reviews

Ok, I decided to go watch this movie with a friend. the theatre was not in any way full, in fact it was empty when we walked in, only shortly after a few select people with there kids came in and sat down. now the movie, overall it was very weak compared to the first movie.
It starts off with dave, the main character in the first movie getting injured and then is only in a few scenes after that throughout the movie. Instead, we get stuck with a guy that is boring and not a good actor at all. The movie then moves onto the chipmunks going to school, where they get harrassed by the student jocks. Go home, do a few things and then back in school the next day. nothing interesting at all like the first movie.

Then comes the chipettes. and to be honest, they were in every way misused in this movie. We yet again have to deal with Ian Hawke, who I found annoying in the first movie, taking on the task of promoting the chipettes. To which ends up with a very short version of the first movie where he takes in the chipmunks and coaches them. Simply put, after a few run-ins with the two chipmunk types. the movie ends way too soon, leaving you hanging and wanting/expecting to see more only to see the credits start to roll. OVERALL- This movie was another "Hollywood Short Story Just To Make A Quick Buck" movie and didnt even show any compasion for the viewers. if you havent seen this movie yet, DONT! save your money, its not worth it! Enjoy the First Movie, because this one sucked! (D-)
