Alive(1993)- User Reviews

After reading the book by Piers Read I looked forward to seeing the hollywood version (a remake by the way) of what I feel is a very compelling true adventure. I was very disapointed, as was the audience in the theater. The opening scene was boring, with the camera going round and round. The scene showing the boys waking up while on one of the expeditions with ice and snow hanging from their faces was so unrealistic that the theater audience actually started to laugh. The scenes concerning the final expedition by Parrado & Canessa were so concocted and untrue and then rushed to conclusion that, well, the movie was lousy!
