I haven't seen this, but...are there not enough war movies as it is? Movies that obtain war themes are only made for one reason and that is to alter the minds of those who are the most naive and vulnerable. They are pure propaganda and are extremely bias, for they refuse to show the pain and loss from other perspectives. These men should not be glorified. They are not actors acting out a scene. What they actually go through is a hell of a lot worse. Why not make an extraordinary documentary and let the audience for once decide whether or not war is beneficial or detrimental?

P.S. "Platoon" is an exception because it strikes an awareness that very few war based films attain. It not only focuses on the soldiers, but it also presents the opposing side and the loss and tragedy they go through. It shows that while men in the army stick together, they can also betray each other, and proves that the enemy is not always from the opposing side. The point is in the end there is no definite enemy, there are two sides with two two very different views.
