Across the Universe(2007)- User Reviews

I love musicals and this was a huge disappointment. The movie was more like 'how many Beatles songs can we shove into a two hour movie?' And the songs made no sense in the scenes that they were being sung in. And there was no purpose for like five of the characters in the movie. They were just thrown in there so that a Beatles song invovlving their name can be sung. I felt no connection whatsoever with any of the characters. And it's really hard to watch or even enjoy a movie when you don't feel anything for anyone. It tried too hard. It looked like it could have been a good movie but it crashed and burned terribly.
