I turned it off about halfway through. I'm surprised I got that far.
The backflashes of the old man and boy were sweet, but they weren't going anywhere with it (for me anyway).
I haven't seen a movie with Russel Crowe that I really liked …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

This was a great date movie and was also just a very good movie on several levels. I have heard many critics say it was just another "formula" romantic comedy. Well then, if funny, good hearted, well acted and beautifully photographed describe …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

Unless you have a desire to see a movie with a truly "phoned-in" performance by Russell Crowe, skip this one. Aside from sleep-walking through his performance, this movie boasts: a lousy script, dull story-line, HORRIBLE music track, poor casting, …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

Being familiar with this charming story and the other writings of Peter Mayle centerd in Provence, our family looked forward to seeing this book come alive on the screen. Unfornately what we got was a butchered up mess that hardly resembled the book and …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

It has been clear that critics have become blind of the true pleasure of delectation. The movie itself has been taken for granted, for its superb acting adds to the complete picture an exquisite delight of what it actually means to fall in love.
