Is this my favorite movie of all time? Yes. Do I have a life size $350.00 leg lamp as a center piece of my living room? Most definately yes! This movie for me spells out family, childhood, and a story that has something in it everyone can identify with. This movie also spells out innocense lost because the move is set in the year 1940, which is one year before America entered into WWII which says alot to me. It also tells a story about each youngster and the tale of something that they had always wanted. Ralphie, our hero in this movie, does indeed get the prize and provides a heartfelt ending. The script, one liners, sets, cast of characters, and timeline provide a memorable and iconic movie for all times. Bob Clark put his best foot forward on this film and it shows everytime, no matter how many times it gets played on TNT. I can also say that I believe this story is the icon of Gene Shepards career. To close I will leave you with my favorite quote where Scutt Farcus wants Ralphie to come over to him in the school yard...Scutt Farcus "Hey....come mere......" Ralphie: "Who me?" Grover Dill: "Nah your Aunt Tilly!"
