I saw 2009's Taken before I saw 8mm Whig was made about ten years before. I thought Taken was really messed up, but 8mm is more messed up by a longshot. Taken is also a lot better than 8mm. The film is about the world of underground pornography and how a woman finds a snuff video(porn beyond xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and 100 percent illegal) in her dead husband's belongings. She has Nicolas Cage investigate and he gets deeper and deeper into the underground world of pronography. I saw the TV version of this film and it was disturbing therefore the acually version is definitely not for the faint of heart. This is one of those films that could almost be rated NC-17. This is a great acting job by Nicolas Cage and Mr. Phoenix, but I don't know if this should be shown on TV or if it is even worth watching. It really does put ones life in perspective and to see how messed up our world is. I recommend Taken with Liam Neeson and Taxi Driver with Robert DeNir over this film.
