(500) Days of Summer

No film has ever explored fate, destiny, and love like (500) Days of Summer. It's not a typical love story. And in fact, according to the narrator, it's not a love story at all. But that's not true. I belive this film is indeed a love story, and one of the best I've seen in a while. And in actuallity, it's an honest love story. It shows that boy meets girl isn't always a happy fariytale. Things happen. Things change. Things get in the way. But we learn, that fate (or whatever we need to call it; but it's there) will always guide us to where we need to be, at the right time, and at the right place. Everyone has a love out there. It's up to fate to show us who he/she may be.

(500) Days of Summer had a genius script, flawless performances, that quirky indie soundtrack, and great emotion. This could have been an easy best picture winner if it weren't in the year of Up in the Air, Inglorious Basterds, and Up.

(500) Days of Summer was amazing. One of the most raw, beautiful, and emotional romantic dramas I have ever seen, and one of the best films of 2009. A simple, innovative, beautiful film.
