Terrible Plot Thick w/ Obvious Political Overtones

First off I'd like to say that the plot of this movie is terrible. It would seem that this movie is made to entertain a 12 year old child from Nebraska with a public education. Childish humor and extremely unrealistic and cheesy dialog.

Ethnicity was used extremely strategically throughout this movie which over shadows the current political and economic policy that is facing the US right now.

For example, the Chinese were viewed as extremely hostile, shrewd, cunning, and with a military culture. The main characters (Americans) were allied with wealthy Russians on a single goal. One of the Russians sacrificed his life so that the Americans and other Russians in the party could proceed to the destination. In another scene they also showed a happy interacial family of an American man, a Japanese woman (wife), and a half Jap/American daughter.
The Indians were the scientists that discovered that a global catastrophe was about to happen, but nobody could get to them to help them in time and they all died. Those poor poor helpless Indians... :)
In the meanwhile, with only hours to destruction of the world, the black president wouldn't go to the safety vessel and chose to stay in the White House and die (like a captain going down with the ship). One of the other main hero's, a black scientist wanted to warn everyone in the country of the impeding danger about to happen in the US, but the old white politicians were doing everything in their power to cover it up.
When all of the politicians and VIP got onto the safety vessel, there were thousands whom they closed the doors on. It was none other than the black scientist that was fighting to try to re-open the doors for everyone whom wanted to enter the vessel while there was only 15 minutes left until the tsunami was going to hit.

I thought this movie was tasteless and the only reason I would recommend this movie is for comedic value watching the obvious political ambitions that were thrown into the movie.
