2001: A Space Odyssey has to be one of the most overrated movies of all-time. It is a great looking movie, but it lacks the most important elements in storytelling-character development and plot. The viewer knows nothing about any of the characters. And despite the minimal plot, the movie somehow manages to be confusing. A movie has to be a lot more than simply "good loking" to be a considered a good mvie.
