There are some prolonged images of the cosmos in this film, while they are intriguing, it's slow-paced and not exactly richly entertaining. Kubrick's visuals of outer space in this film are possibly the most timeless in the history of cinema. …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

2001 may not be entertaining for certain people but it well put out. Director Stanley Kubrick gave a good directing match. Most movies have mostly fast action. This movie is flipping nuts. It's impossible to follow but I love it so. I recomend reading the book first, since the movie makes no sense without it. And the movie is CRAP compared to the book so that should motivate you to read it.more»0 of 1 people found this review helpful-
