Maria, a young Brazilian woman, leaves her hometown of Rio in search of fame and fortune. She ends up working as a prostitute who becomes obssessed with sex and the average of eleven minutes that it takes to complete. After Maria meets an attractive man, her views of love and sex are put to the test and she must decide whether to risk everything for sex in the context of love.
