Chronicles the 1998 racially motivated murder of James Byrd, Jr. in Jasper, Texas. A collaborative effort between a black filmmaker and a white filmmaker, the film records -- with segregated crews -- the divergent experiences of Jasper residents during the trials of the men charged with dragging Mr. Byrd to his death.
