On October 14, 2516, a group of Thai freedom fighters revolted against the ruling regime. Many lost their lives on the streets in the name of democracy. One of the survivors was Seksan Prasertkul, a student activist at Thammasat University who led the crowds in passionate protest. He lost many of his friends, but soon attracted the devotion of Chiranan Pitpreecha, who joined him in his fight. Realizing they had to leave Bangkok, they headed for the forests and the Communists of Thailand, like others before them, and others who would come after them. Although they had dreams of returning victorious to the city, they discovered that corrupt politics, dependency of foreign regimes and power struggles were standing between them and their ideals. They soon decided they had to escape, but someone was sent after them with dire intentions...
