Film follows the journey to recovery and self-empowerment of a rape victim, Mary, a 34-year-old lesbian mother of two, who mobilizes her community into positive action to reclaim the street where she was attacked as queer space. Through better lighting, landscaping and the installation of public art, the once dangerous street becomes part of a campaign of outreach and education.
