Story focuses on the life of Lingfeng, a young woman in love with a disreputable fellow named Liugeng. When her father forbids her to marry Liugeng, she agree to an arranged union with Li Yougyi. Just when Lingfeng is beginning to fall for Li, he slips off a cliff and dies. She continues with his business and finds it in her heart to look for a young wife for her ex-boyfriend.
