|
A man who leaves his wife, following a severe domestic squabble, gets entangled in a series of complications beginning with his picking up a young hitch-hiker. When the car runs out of gas and the duo decide to take a short cut through an eerie forest, some farmers mistake the pair for two runaway convicts and interrogate them at gunpoint. The man, Ray, escapes in a magical climax leaving the mysterious hitch-hiker and his nightmare world behind. His odyssey, however, leads Ray to reconsider his domestic situation.
