A randy young painter is summoned to the chateau of an aging Compte who zealously guards the virginity of this two daughters. As one of them is about to marry, he wants a portrait to remember them both in the bloom of youth. The painter isn't allowed to speak, or make eye contact, with the young women who are nonetheless eager to learn about life and love from the handsome stranger.
