Maurey, in a drunken spiral after the death of her father, loses her husband to another woman along with the custody of her son. In an alcoholic haze, she wanders into a local tavern where she meets Shane and Lloyd. Together they set out on a cross-country trek to retrieve her child. On the way, Shane and Lloyd help Maurey find the strength to love again, to leave her past behind and reclaim her life.
