A portrait of controversial Egyptologist Dr. Joseph ben-Jochannon widely know as "Dr. Ben". For over 40 years, Dr. Ben has preached an Afro-centric view of Egyptian history, using street humor to expose what he considers to be Eurocentric historical distortions. Dr. Ben was born in Ethiopia in 1917, raised an Ethiopian Hebrew and educated in Cuba and the Virgin Islands. Throughout his career he has led educational tours through Egypt's historic temples and tombs, served as an adjunct professor at Cornell University, a Senior Lecturer at Al Azhar University in Egypt, and has written many books including: "Africa-Mother of Western Civilization" and "Black Man of the Nile and His Family".
