A struggling rock band, who being dumped by their record label, decides to orchestrate the fake death of Dan, the band's lead singer. in hopes that record sales will go through the roof. When nobody shows up for the funeral and Dan's unsuspecting hipster girlfriend, Eden, begins slepping with rival band members, Dan, having been cooped up in his apartment, can take it no longer. Born out of desperation, Dan dresses up in his now ex-girlfriends clothes, and without thinking through the consequences of his actions, he heads out into the world as a woman. However, things don't go as planned when "Danielle" befriends Claire, a journalist for a music magazine who is doing a story for on the now deceased singer/songwriter. Dan/Danielle is completely taken by her. It's love at first sight. The situation spins out of control when Dan decides he can't go on with the charade and through his journey Dan grows to understand what is truly important to him.
