Orphaned as a small child, Ghulam-E-Musthafa (Nana Patekar) was raised by a mob boss (played by Paresh Rawal) who is known, somewhat jarringly, as "ABBA." Musthafa's life is turned upside down when he falls madly in love with a beautiful dancer named Kavita (Raveena Tandon), who is murdered by ABBA's underworld rivals shortly before their marriage. Shattered, Musthafa decides to dedicate himself to protecting the innocent. He starts with Mr. Dixit (Shivaji Satam) and his family, who are being persecuted by both criminals and gangsters--dangerous men who aren't happy with Musthafa's interference, and who will do whatever they have to in order to get their way. Parto Ghosh's movie tells a violent story, but one with an underlying message of tolerance, respect, and hope.
