Contributions by notable stars such as Billy Bob Thornton, David Arquette, and Matt LeBlanc add interest to this Civil War thriller with a horror twist. What at first appears to be a typical Civil War action film quickly moves into supernatural territory as the Confederate army accidentally unearths a seemingly endless string of dead soldiers intent on causing devastation to the human race. As these flesh-eating zombies form their own army of sorts, what was already an arduous and miserable battle becomes a lot more complicated. The cast is rounded out by a string of other interesting performers, including Ray Wise (TWIN PEAKS) and Martin Sheen.
