Durga (Rakhee) has two sons, Karan (Salman Khan) and Arjun (Shahrukh Khan), who are brutally murdered by nefarious criminal Dhurjan Singh. But the goddess Kali listens to Durga's agonized prayers, and the two boys are reborn into other families.
