When Jen Marshall (Piper Perabo) decides to move from Los Angeles to Brooklyn to take care of her sick parents, it appears she has performed an entirely selfless deed. But it soon emerges that Jen had ruffled more than a few feathers back in LA due to her feisty nature. Naturally this side of Jen's character emerges shortly after she arrives in Brooklyn, leading to further problems and proof that this boisterous character is likely to be a handful no matter where she makes her home. A drama with a darkly comic undertow, director Irving Schwartz (LARCENY) draws some strong performances from Perabo and her supporting cast, which includes Mary Beth Hurt (BRINGING OUT THE DEAD) and Heather Burns (MISS CONGENIALITY).
