One of the world's finest music venues, Teatro Alla La Scala is located in Milan, Italy, and has hosted some of the greatest stars from the opera and classical music worlds over the years. Dating back to the 1700s, the building has lost none of its period charm, and even survived World War II, albeit with a little reconstruction work needed. This concert celebrates that reconstruction with a glittering array of stars, who line up in the 50th year since the bomb-ravaged building was rebuilt. Among those taking part are Luciano D'Intino, Mirella Freni, Vincenzo La Scola, and many others, while the music performed includes pieces by Verdi, Puccini, and Rossini.
