Starring Guy Pearce, the war drama BRAND NEW WORLD (aka WOUNDINGS) imagines a futuristic scenario that resonates with modern day issues. In the near future, the British military struggles to contend with rebellious forces on a small island. What's more, many of the men have been traumatized by the experience of battle, and are demoralized from being stationed on the island so far from their friends and families. The government attempts to address the problem by recruiting women to join the military men on the island as companions, but is this appeasement enough to make the men forget the horrors of war?
