Young and beautiful Amy Dustin (Nicholle Tom, THE BOOK OF RUTH) has it all, which makes her fall from innocence to experience that much more painful. When the popular high school football coach (Gary Cole, DODGEBALL: A TRUE UNDERDOG STORY) begins to show interest in 14-year-old Amy, she is pleased with their new friendship, until his attentions cross into the realm of seduction. Amy is fraught with embarrassment and shame, and she is unsure what to do. Her uncertainty is heightened by the cruel rumors already beginning to circulate, but as Coach Nash becomes increasingly unpredictable--even threatening to kill himself--Amy gathers the nerve to tell her mother (Mary Kay Place, THE SAFETY OF OBJECTS) what is happening. Outraged, Amy's parents are not content when Coach Nash is convicted and incarcerated, and set out to make the school liable for its lack of action in protecting their daughter. School authorities had ignored the rumors about the coach for some time due to his importance for the football team, and the Dustin family is determined to create a precedent in the courtroom that will prevent such a thing from happening again.
