Gary Potter began his career at the age of 12, playing professionally in a country band; his trajectory changed, however, when at 15 he heard the music of Django Rheinhardt and decided that Gypsy jazz was the music he wanted to play. Today the British virtuoso is considered one of the greatest jazz guitarists in the world, having won many awards, and developed a style that is all his own. This concert recording, which GUITARIST MAGAZINE gave an appreciative four stars, showcases Potter's dazzling technique as he plays his signature gypsy/Hot Club style of music. He is backed by Nils Solberg on rhythm guitar, and bassist Andy Crowdy. The song list includes "Belleville," "Nuits de St. Germain des Pres," "Limehouse Blues," "J'Attendrai," and "Sweet Georgia Brown."
