An unparalleled release, this collection of low-budget Gothic horror from Europe is a boon to fans of the genre. The beautiful Barbara Steele (BLACK SUNDAY) stars in what many consider her best work, THE FACELESS MONSTER, as Muriel. She is married to Dr. Steven Arrowsmith while having clandestine relations with the gardener; when they are discovered, Arrowsmith tortures and kills the lovers. When Arrowsmith marries Muriel's stepsister Jenny (also played by Steele) in pursuit of the family fortune, Jenny starts to change in a foretaste of revenge from beyond the grave. Then, young and beautiful biochemist Ivanna Rakowsky (Erna Schurer) comes in search of employment at the castle of Baron Janos Dalmar (Charles Quiney), which he grants reluctantly. He is conducting experiments in an attempt to revive the corpse of his badly-burned brother, who may have something to do with the nocturnal visitations Ivanna is receiving; and just where do the brutal murders in the village fit into this puzzle? The other titles included are the beautifully-costumed Anita Ekberg vehicle FANGS OF THE LIVING DEAD, and SATANIK, where an aging scientist discovers a youth serum that also turns her into an evil, corrupt monster.
