This educational animated program explores the fascinating life of Daniel Boone, one of the world's best-known explorers. Richard Crenna (THE SAND PEBBLES) provides the voice of Boone, whose career as a trailblazer and hunter began at an early age. Born in the 1730s to an Englishman who came to America two decades before, Boone was given a rifle at the age of 12. A true adventurer, Boone went on to become a key player in the settlement of Kentucky. Hired to negotiate for the land with the Indians, Boone found himself in several difficult situations, from being captured by the Shawnee tribe to mourning the death of his son. DANIEL BOONE explores the way in which this iconic figure helped to shape American history.
