Houston Blackett (Angus MacFadyen) is a chauvinist womanizer who owns and publishes a racy men's magazine. When his estranged mother dies, he attends her funeral and is surprised to run into ex-girlfriend Zane Douglas (Penelope Ann Miller). But Houston's surprise soon morphs into shock as he learns that Zane and his mother were lovers and that she is the one set to inherit the family estate. With the help of his greedy stepmother Claire (Ann-Margret), Houston launches a bid to seize the inheritance and sparks a heated battle of the sexes that leads to some unexpected results.
