In 1272, Crusader knight Simon de Clarendon journeys to Tunisia to see King Louis IX about a lost relic. But the king dies before Simon can arrive. Left to complete his Crusade alone, Simon and his small band of knights travel to the Holy Land on a mission to recover the Holy Shroud, the cloth in which Jesus was buried.
